Let's get one thing straight: the HTC ChaCha is not the Facebook phone. It's not manufactured by Facebook. But let's get another thing straight, too: the HTC ChaCha is the Facebook experience
And it's even endorsed to a certain extent by the King of the network, Mark Zuckerberg, who gave a sermon about it at the phone's launch.

HTC has taken its already winning Sense interface and remoulded it with a big blue 'F' at the centre - something the notoriously quiet Facebook founder went on record as saying he's "very happy" with and, in a nod to the future, how they "look forward to a lot more to come".

Rocking the latest Android iteration, Gingerbread 2.3.3 and fully capable of a dance-off with some other 3G-capable Android devices, it's due to hit stores any day now, with a sim-free price tag around £250, and a contract offering of around £20 per month.
That's probably too much for the 14-21 age bracket the ChaCha is evidently aimed at, though we'd imagine Pay As You Go offerings might make it a little cheaper too.

Like its (bizarre choice of) name, the HTC ChaCha is no bore. Slim and well built, it feels like a quality device in the hand. It's not particularly light at 124g, but feels a lot heavier than the Incredible S for instance (despite being 13g lighter).
The body is made of white plastic and brushed metal. The battery door is plastic, and if you plan on changing the battery or the SIM card often, you may find yourself uttering a few choice words.

Android gonna have 9-axis modular motion sensing ! by Aiken Labs.. now with hands-on..

We already had a chance to try out Immersive Motion from Aiken Labs at CES, but now the nine-axis modular sensing system is making its way to Android and other mobile platforms, including iOS and Windows Phone. The more compact battery-powered server brings motion-controlled gaming to mobile environments, capturing position data from matchbox-size modular sensors that you can tape to a wooden sword or Viking helmet for live-action outdoor role-playing, or on you paws and dome during a virtual jam session with friends, for example. The mobile kit includes a pair of wireless sensors with a 50-foot range that you can attach to literally any accessory or appendage, and is expected to sell for about $300 when it ships later this year. You'll also be able to connect up to two smaller wired sensors to each wireless sensor, for about $50 a pop.

The kit's price tag makes it cost-prohibitive for all but the most hardcore gamers and devs (there's an SDK available as well), but Aiken hopes to make its flagship product more affordable if its able to sell the kits in high volume. The tool has applications in other industries as well, including research and Hollywood, where it could be used as a (relatively) low-cost outdoor motion-capture suit. The early version we saw at E3 today is definitely not ready to head to production, but we're still months away from an actual release, giving Aiken some time to improve accuracy, and perhaps find a way to reduce that price. Playstation Suite available for Android and other Platforms

Sony revealed a lot of surprises at today’s E3 2011. Not only did Sony demo tons of 3D titles today, they also announced their expansion into other platforms that hopefully include the Android universe. Sony is releasing something new that will be called Playstation Suite. Very little detail was leaked at E3 about this new Suite, but the rumor mill is flying.


It seems like most platforms have always tried to get exclusive content to strengthen brand loyalty. Nintendo comes to mind as one of the best at that strategy. Now Sony is breaking ranks with this move to offer Playstation content across other platforms. Their logic is that this strategy will actually increase revenue and increase console loyalty by enticing new users to come to the Playstation after they have been exposed to the Playstation Suite content.

Naturally, we are excited about the possibilities of what this could bring to the Android universe. With high-end dual core devices like XOOM, ASUS Transformer, and Galaxy Tab 10.1 on the market, we are excited about what the Playstation Suite might bring. Now that apps are continually being optimized for Android 3.0 Honeycomb, there are sure to be some exciting announcements about Playstation Suite for Droid users later this year. Of course Froyo 2.2 will probably see some apps first because it is already in so many devices.

Playstation Suite will also probably impact other devices and platforms and devices as well. No doubt Sony will want to get in the Apple iTunes store. Then there is WiiWare and DSiWare if they can get inside the Nintendo perimeter. Overall we like the move on Sony’s part, and look forward to what it might bring down the road. 

SMS using ur computer/laptop now !!!

That’s right, thanks to the service texty, Android users can now send and receive their text messages while on their computer. The service is still in beta so there are a couple of kinks (mostly aesthetically), but it works exactly how you think it would. You install the app on your phone and then install the Chrome plug in. Every time you get a text message it is sent to your phone and your phone relays the text to the plug in. The same works in reverse for sending it. I love being able to sync my phone and my computer, and it feels great to be able to go from one device to the other. This is just another way Android is leading the pack in keeping all of your devices together.
